About Us

Urhobo College Old Students Association (UCOSA)

The Urhobo College Old Students Association (UCOSA) is the official alumni body of Urhobo College, Effurun, an institution founded in 1948 through the visionary leadership of the Urhobo Progress Union. UCOSA exists to preserve the proud heritage of the College, promote unity among its alumni, and support the continuous growth and development of our alma mater.

Urhobo College was established as a citadel of learning dedicated to academic excellence, discipline, and character formation. From its earliest years under the leadership of its founding Principal, M. G. Ejaife, the College embraced the enduring motto: Aut Optimum Aut Nihil - “The Best or Nothing.” This commitment to excellence remains the guiding principle of both the College and its alumni community.

UCOSA serves as a unifying platform for former students across generations and continents. Through structured chapters within Nigeria and in the diaspora, the Association fosters fellowship, professional networking, mentorship, and collaborative initiatives aimed at advancing the interests of the College.

Our Objectives

Our Heritage

Urhobo College was founded during a pivotal era in Urhobo history, when education was regarded as the foundation for self-determination and progress.
